Utley To Have Surgery

Chase Utley will need hip surgery. Utley's hip has been bothering him throughout the 2008 season, but he still played through it.

Despite a bad hip, Utley still managed to win a Silver Slugger. His numbers decreased during the second half of the year, but Chase still hit .292 with 33 homeruns.

Pedro Feliz will need back surgery. Feliz missed a few games during the season due to a bad back.

There is a chance that Utley will miss Opening Day in 2008. This will likely cross out of Utley playing in the World Baseball Classic in March, which he participated in 2006.
