Charlie Manuel was absent from Saturday’s and Tuesday’s game for undisclosed personal reasons. It turns out that the undisclosed reason is that he was preparing for a colonoscopy.
Manuel suffered from diverticulitis ten years ago and stressed that a colonoscopy is a routine procedure for those who have suffered from the serious colon condition.
Manuel is unsure when the procedure will occur, however says he feels fine and the reports are good.
