Lopez Removed due to Injury

Originally posted on Phillies Nation.

Rodrigo Lopez was removed after five innings due to inflammation in his right shoulder. Lopez started feeling tightness in the fifth, and the velocity of his fastball dropped down to 82 mph.

“Like when the muscles are really, really tired, where it starts to bother you —
that’s the way I felt,” he said.

Feeling “uncomfortable” Lopez wanted to play it safe and avoid a long term injury. After the game, Lopez said he felt better and no tests have been scheduled at this time.

Call of the Day: Harry called them all. Even R.J Swindle's curveball.

"...There it was. There's that curveball. Lets see what speed that
was. (*laughs*) A 54 mile an hour curve ball. There it was and he struck
him out. Yep, there it is. No runs, no hits, no errors. We go
to the bottom of the eighth. Its 10-5, Mets."
