Phils Look To Turn Around Struggles

Colorado Rockies (59-47) play at Philadelphia Phillies (59-45).

Jorge De La Rosa (9-7, 4.68 ERA) gets the start againstt J.A Happ (7-2, 2.97 ERA).

August hasn't been friendly to the Phillies, who started the month 0-3.

The Phillies will send J.A Happ to the mound, in possibly his last start before being moved back to the bullpen. He survived spring training. He survived the trade deadline. Now he needs to survive and stay in the rotation. His performance tonight could further tell his destiny. Happ pitched 2.1 scoreless innings against the Rockies in April.

Jorge De La Rosa is improving as the season moves on. He set a franchise record for most consecutive wins, seven. He will look to extend that streak to eight, but he is 0-2 with a 8.79 career ERA against the Phillies. He gave up six earned runs in 3.2 innings at Citizens Bank Park. If there is a pitcher that can cure the Phillies bats, it is De La Rosa. But at the same time, De Rosa can pile up on strikeouts, something the Phillies do quite a bit.
