Phlashback: September 27, 2008

A year ago today, the Phillies clinched the National League East. It was the first time since 1976-78 that they won back-to-back titles.

Just like 2007, Jamie Moyer won the deciding game. The Mets did not collapse epically like the year prior, but they still were unable to hold their division lead.

Brad Lidge finished it off with the save, thanks to a spectacular double play.

Here is Swing and a Long Drive's post from that game!
