Phillies Notes

The offseason officially has begun. No baseball until pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training.

Ruben Amaro Jr. reportedly will be named Phillies General Manager for the 2009 season. Current GM Pat Gillick is likely to retire.

Tom Gordon and So Taguchi's options for the 2009 season have been declined.

Pat Burrell and soon to be 46 year old Jamie Moyer are amoung Phillies that will become free agents.

Cole Hamels appered on "The Late Show with David Letterman" a few days ago. He provided the nights Top 10 list.
