Ruiz Scratched from Rehab Start

Carlos Ruiz took batting practice on Monday, but felt discomfort in his strained right oblique. He was scratched from the Triple-A IronPigs lineup.

Ruiz was eligible to come off the disabled list on Sunday, but he continued to rehabbing, catching nine innings with the IronPigs.

Ruiz will be re-evaluated on Tuesday.

Brad Lidge is also day to day with inflammation in his right knee, according to Charlie Manuel. Ryan Madson got the save in Monday's win.

Call of the day: The Phillies hit two grand slams yesterday. In June 2007, Aaron Rowand hit a grand slam off his former team, the Chicago White Sox.

"Long Drive.. it is a GRAND SLAM HOME RUN, AARON ROWAND! And the Phillies have
jumped to an 8-3 lead here in the seventh inning on the slam by Rowand. Wow."
