Moyer To Start Against Jays

Jamie Moyer will start his 13th game of the year tonight, hoping to save the bullpen. The Phillies have played 4 extra inning games and a rain delayed game in less than a week.

The Phillies lucked out since Roy Halladay will not make his start tonight due to an injured groin.

Although Jamie has a 6.11 ERA this season, he is 1-2 with a 3.77 ERA in his last five starts. His command has improved since his 3-3 start with an 8.15 ERA.

Last year against the Blue Jays, Moyer pitched 6.2 innings allowing 3 earned runs on 7 hits and 2 walks. He struck out 5.

Scott Richmond will likely start for the Blue Jays. His fastball tops in the low 90s and has a decent slider. He has a tough time against lefties, so the Phillies should play former Jay Matt Stairs in left over Jayson Werth.

Let's take a look back at Jamie's career.

Call of the Day: Chase Utley hit a home run in game 3 of the World Series.

"The 2-1 pitch. Swing and a LONG drive. Watch this baby.. WAY
outta here! Tremendous home run, Chase Ut-ley! And the Phillies take a 3
