Ibanez Rehabs With IronPigs

Raul Ibanez rehabbed with the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. He played seven innings in his second rehab assignment. Ibanez went 1-for-2 with a walk, strikeout, and run scored.

His groin was tested by making plays in left field and sliding into second base. Ibanez said he felt fine.

As of now, the plan is that Ibanez will take tomorrow off and play on Thursday. Then, he will talk with the Phillies determining how many more rehab assignments he will need upon returning.

The IronPigs lost, 6-2. Carlos Carrasco was roughed up in in four innings for six earned runs.

Call of the Day: In honor of Shane Victorino's campaign to get into the 2009 All Star team via the Final Vote, today's call comes from a Victorino triple.

"Victorino flying around second. He'll go into third with a sliding triple."

Victorino was in first place for a few hours late last night. However, Pablo Sandoval regained the lead, putting Victorino back to second in the voting.
