◦J.A Happ left Friday’s game after tweaking his oblique. However, Happ said he was fine and that he did not tweak his muscle nor experience any pain. Charlie Manuel removed him for “pre-cautionary reasons”.
◦Carlos Ruiz left Friday’s game with a sprained left wrist. Ruiz’s wrist has been bothering him for a few days, but he aggravated it on a close play at the plate. ◦J.C Romero (strained left forearm) also threw a bullpen session. Romero will report to Clearwater tomorrow for a week. Rich Dubee liked what he saw from both Eyre and Romero.
◦Chan Ho Park, who pulled his hamstring, reportedly played catch in the outfield today.
◦Shane Victorino (gastrointestinal problems) is not in tonight’s lineup. However, he claimed that he is “no longer sick.”
◦Jack Taschner has a mid-back strain. He is rehabbing in Clearwater.
